My Wife visited this 'Doctor' about her Migraines. After waiting over 16months to see someone he was dismissive, inattentive, did not ask any questions that related to symptoms and was not interested what-so-ever in hearing what drugs she had been prescribed before. Appalling bedside manner. He eventually prescribed some drugs and they turned out to be the ones she was already taking that did not work. Any other profession and you would be out of a job on this level of performance!
I went to see Dr Thomas at the Meriden Centre about some facial nerve problems. He was polite, took his time listening to my concerns and asked lots of questions. He also did a very detailed exam. He recommended a very good private clinic at a lower cost than the hospital for an MRI. Would recommend seeing him if you have neurological issues especially ones related to migraines.
What a terrible doctor, he has the bedside manner is atrocious, my consultation lasted less than 10mins and I had to walk out, he made me feel awful, I won’t go into here, but he was completely out of order.
Hi , I was diagnosed with MND by Dr Thomas in June 2020 at Walsgrave hospital Coventry .I was with my daughter Marie at the time and he patiently answered all our questions and explained I would be referred to the palliative care team who would contact me soon.
He talked about the medical support I would expect to receive and how the various professionals who would likely need to support me met monthly to discuss mine and other patients progress.
He discussed medication currently prescribed for MND and at a later date when I chose to discontinue it he respected my decision after talking through my rationale for ceasing it.
I have continued to see him regularly over the last year at out patients clinics. He has always been polite and gives me time to ask questions.
In fact only yesterday he rang me on a Sunday evening as the palliative community nurse had voiced to him some concerns I had about my symptoms and a procedure I needed to have that caused me some anxiety.
He took time to explore my concerns and fears and reassured me greatly.
I have met on zoom meetings other people with MND who also have Dr Thomas as their neurologist and all feel they have had positive experiences under his care.
I must speak as I find and I can only say on all the appointments I have had with Doctor Thomas he treated me with respect and professionalism whilst showing compassion that MND is a cruel disease.
